FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT COSMETIC TATTOOING.

How old do I have to be to have a cosmetic tattoo service?

You must be 18 years old and over. (ID maybe requested)

What is Microblading/Feather brows?

Microblading/Feather brow Tattoo, is a type of cosmetic tattooing.

In this service, we tattoo tiny hair like strokes into your brows, using a one time use sterile hand tool. It creates the appearance of fuller brows. This service lasts from 12 months to 3 years, depending on your skin type and lifestyle.

What are Powder brows?

The Powder brow tattoo technique is a soft and powdery filled brow tattoo, similar to a brow powder look. This can be as natural or as bold as you like.  we perform this service using a digital machine which uses one time use sterile cartridge needles. This service lasts from 12 months to 3 years, depending on your skin type and lifestyle.

How long does it last?

This depends on a lot of things, such as:

- The colour of pigment used - darker pigments last longer that light pigments.

- The method used - microblading does not normally last as long as brows performed using the digital machine method.

- Whether or not you attend your touch up perfection visit (4-6 weeks after your initial visit).

-Environmental factors such as exposure to the sun or tanning beds, you will have longer lasting results if you protect your cosmetic tattoos from UV light.

-After care - performing peels or regularly exfoliating over your cosmetic tattoo will make them fade quicker.

- Your health and skin type- some people retain pigment extremely well and others do not for example people with oily skin might find their tattoo does not last quite as long.

- Generally the treatment is considered semi permanent; though in some cases (especially eyeliner and very dark browns) you may have some light pigment remaining in the skin.

How long does a cosmetic tattoo take?

It takes around 2 hours for brows and around 2.5 hours for lips.

Can children attend my appointment?

Unfortunately children cannot attend any cosmetic tattoo appointments.

We won't be able to proceed with your appointment if you bring your children with you and this may mean that your deposit will be forfeited.
